Commissions

I am happy to take commissions of any size for paintings on canvas or paper.

I recommend that people interested in placing a commission first look at the archive sections on the site. This would then be the starting point for a discussion about the pros and cons of earlier pieces in order to reach some understanding about the size and subject of the new painting. It is best not to be too prescriptive, I don’t do repeats and in order to enable the new work to develop as I feel it should I accept commissions on a first refusal basis. By this I mean that I undertake to do the work but if the client is not entirely satisfied they are under no obligation to buy, this has worked well in the past, taking any pressure off both parties.
